The PRO Piston is a cast
piston, cast from high silicon
aluminum according to original
equipement specifications.
3 Cylinder OMC outboard
motors, , 1975 and earlier,
use a 5/8" wrist pin. Newer
motors use a 3/4"wrist pin.
You can use a new piston in
an earlier motor if you buy a
WP15-1 wrist pin conversion
kit. Simply buy a WP15-1
bearing kit with each piston
you want to use that has the
earlier 5/8" rod.
We have sold these kits for
years and they have worked
very well.
WHAT YEAR IS IT??
(This works on years 1980 and
later.)
You can identify the year of the
motor using the chart displayed
below. If the ID number is:
E115TLCOB
The last 2 letters are "C" and
"O".
This translates to the number 8
and the number 5. Put the two
together and you get "85". So
the year is "1985".
